The Hotel
The Hotel faces the Square on its northern side, its facade of pale stone and wrought-iron balconies unchanged for more than a century. The rooms are not large, but they are comfortable, the beds are excellent, and the windows look out over the fountain and the chestnut trees.
The concierge knows everyone in the town and can arrange almost anything: a reservation at the Café, a guided walk to the monastery, a quiet table in the hotel's own dining room, or simply the best route to wherever it is you need to be.
Arriving and Departing
Most guests arrive by way of the Station and find the Hotel a short walk across the Square. They often intend to stay a night or two, and find that a week has passed. The town has that effect on people. The Hotel is prepared for extended stays and considers long-term guests among its most valued.
