This site has existed in various forms (with some offline periods) since 1995! It started as vanilla HTML, moved to Drupal, then WordPress, and is now a Jamstack site using 11ty. I still build rapid-deployment websites like this at John Simmons HyperText. I am rebuilding this site from scratch, so pieces are being added piecemeal - pardon our dust!
I have always thought of a town or city square as the ultimate center of civilization, with the typical peripheral places you find there.
