The Sts. John of San Francisco, Justin, and Nikolai School of Theology

There exists, a photo of the Bitola Serbian Seminary in the 1930s, showing all of the seminarians and faculty. The faculty is composed of St. John of San Francisco, St. Justin Popovic, and their bishop, St. Nikolai Velimirovic. In other words, this was a school for which all of the faculty were saints!

This rare occurrence is a sign of the goal of Theological education, marked by the phrase "Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi". Theolgy is not merely an academic study, but an personal/empirical one, in which one is opened to living reality by inner development.
